Our story

It started with a friend, in 2017

A friend from abroad was visiting Kerala and found it surprisingly hard to arrange the basics — a place to stay, a taxi, a houseboat — from someone he could actually trust. He had run into one scam too many and was fed up.

I wanted to help him, and the many travellers who feel the same. So I became their one-stop person: one contact who sorts out the stay, the car and the backwaters, at a fair price, and answers the phone when something comes up.

That is still how Elixir Voyage works today. I'm based in Kochi, my hometown is Pala, and we focus on central and south Kerala — the backwaters, the hills and the coast.
